Concept and creation by Kate Brown, an Interior Designer in Arizona. The piece was inspired while spending time at Taliesin West the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. Based on the idea of a Japanese moon gate this outdoor chair sculpture is interactive allowing the lounger to turn the rings and face any direction desired. A beautifully crafted high end feature piece. These chairs are available for sale and worldwide shipping. Please visit our contact page for information.
Etazin is made completely out of steel, it is about 8 1/2' tall and wide. A very special thanks to Ironwood Artistic based in Phoenix Arizona for the fabrication of the piece. Also to On Top Fabrication from Phoenix for bending the rings. It is made to be bolted into a solid base such as concrete or decking.
The original piece is on permanent installation at Taliesin West in Scottsdale Arizona. It is placed amongst the student shelters in the desert, tours are available on the weekends through the tour department from October-May.
